I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the upside, the room was newly refurbished, with modern appliances and sparkling clean. However, the room was quite small, and some items needed fixing. On the positive side, the hotel's location was convenient for walking around and exploring nearby attractions. Yet, it was farther from downtown than I anticipated. I couldn't have been happier with my stay at The Crystal Lodge Motel. The rooms were very nice inside, with great amenities like very comfortable beds and nice coffee when the office was open. The large 50" flat screen TV and over 100 channels made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was convenient, although not near the action in Ventura. The service was exceptional, with kind and helpful staff who provided excellent tips for exploring the area. While the exterior may have seemed shabby, the updated rooms were a pleasant surprise.
